Thank you so much for your interest! Below are commission details and terms of service, including payment, refunds, and usage rights.

By commissioning me, you agree to the following terms of service.

Commissions, Inquiries, and Payments

Please send your commission inquiry to art.sluggy@gmail.com. I prefer to conduct all official communication through email, for ease of reference and my records, so if you need something changed or updated regarding your commission, please send me an email. For general questions, I hope they can be answered in this document, but I’m happy to chat in Discord or by DMs.

I use PayPal to send invoices – half of the quoted payment is expected up front with the other half expected upon delivery. If I have a queue, I’ll notify you as soon as I start work on your commission.

Upon completion and receipt of the second half of the payment, I’ll send you the full file via email. Once you’ve received this email, you will no longer be eligible for a refund, but I hope to ensure that you’re satisfied with the end product!

Queue, Rush Fees, Thumbnails, Deadlines, and Revisions

I handle commissions on a first come, first serve basis.

I offer rush orders, with an additional fee ($50-75, depending on the size of the commission). Let me know your deadlines and I’ll see how I can accommodate you.

Thumbnails/Preliminary Sketches

During the design process, I’m happy to offer small thumbnail sketches for you to review and approve.

Once we’ve agreed on the details of your commission, I aim to have it complete within 30 days, not including major revisions. Any changes in my schedule will be communicated ahead of time.

Major Revisions and Fees

Once your final piece has been delivered:

If you notice a discrepancy between our agreed-upon design and the final product, and you point it out within a week of delivery, I’m happy to fix it up for free.

However, if there is an error due to lack of communication, references, or any other reason for which the client bears the responsibility, each revision may be subject to an additional fee of $25-50.

You’re allowed up to 3 revisions after the final piece is delivered, which may be subject to the aforementioned revision fee.

Cancellations and Refunds

Artist

I reserve the right to refuse any commission or client for any reason.

If I am forced to delay a commission beyond 90 days due to other unavoidable responsibilities, life events, or anything of that nature on my end, I will offer a refund, or work with you on a new deadline.

If I’m forced to cancel a commission due to harassment or other poor conduct on the part of the client, then I will not offer a refund.

I cannot offer refunds after the work is completed and delivered.

Client

You may cancel at any time before the work is completed, for any reason, and refunds will be issued based on the circumstances of the cancellation. Please contact me to discuss any details or complications as soon as you can.

If you cancel after I’ve begun work on your commission, then I will retain the first payment for work I’ve done so far. Please contact me ASAP so that we can work on a new timeline.

Usage and Rights

Artist

You will hold the rights to your character, image, or IP, but by default, I do intend to post finished work, original or modified/revised versions, on my portfolio and blogs, or use it as personal promotional material. You can, of course, request that I do not post the finished work, but please do so when you commission me.

Please let me know if you do not want your work to be used for prints.

Modified versions will not contain IP belonging to the commissioner nor anyone else besides the artist.

Client

Once you receive your art, it’s yours – you may edit, modify, or do whatever you see fit with it for personal use. However, you may NOT claim credit for the work.

You are free to repost your commission, but proper credit is expected.

Your commission is for non-profit use only! Please do not use the work, modified or otherwise, for personal profit via print sales, merchandise, etc. unless otherwise negotiated before payment.
